Minette N. Witty, age 93, of Omro, WI, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital in Wild Rose.

Minette was born March 21, 1918, in Ogema, WI, the daughter of Karl and Marie (Hodek) Novy. She graduated from high school in Prentice, WI and went to college in Milwaukee to study accounting. She then became a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired from that career after twenty-two years. On January 19, 1944, Minette married Robert I. Witty in Reno, NV. She was a member of Hillside Assembly Church in Ripon.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynnette Hagenbeck of Portland, OR and Maribeth Resen of Omro, WI; one son, Thomas Witty of Tucson, AZ; four granddaughters, Lynelle Blum of Portland, OR, Heather Hamula of Salt Lake City, UT, Tara Helgestad of Clinton, AR and Bailey Patterson of Ripon, WI; two grandsons, Lance Hagenbeck of Appleton, WI and Jared Feder of Milwaukee, WI and eleven great-grandchildren. Minette was preceded in death by her parents, husband and eleven sisters and brothers.

Visitation for Minette Witty will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011, from 5 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, from 10 – 11:00 am at Hillside Assembly Church, 656 W. Oshkosh St. Ripon, WI.

Funeral Service for Minette Witty will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at 11:00 am at Hillside Assembly Church in Ripon. Reverend Donald Deike will officiate. Interment will take place at Ledgeview Memorial Park in the Town of Empire. A memorial fund is being established.
