Minnie E. Battig, age 97, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 1993, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon where she has resided for the past nine years.
She was born October 10, 1896, in the Town of Metomen, a daughter to the late Ludwig and Emilie (Liebe) Miller. Minnie was a housewife for the majority of her life. On October 22, 1919, she married Edward Battig. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1967.
Survivors include one daughter, Viola Seehaver of Fond du Lac and one brother, William Miller of Ripon. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, one grandson, three sisters, three brothers, and one son-in-law.
Funeral Services for Minnie Battig will be at 8 p.m. Thursday evening, December 16, 1993, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. The Reverend James D. Mohr from Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, where Minnie has been a member, will officiate. Interment will follow Friday in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
