Morris Wiese

October 2, 1925 — February 6, 1997

Morris “Squeak” G. Wiese, age 71, of Rosendale, WI, passed on peacefully at the Waupun Memorial Hospital on February 6, 1997, after a lengthy illness.

He was born to the late William and Minna (Abel) Wiese on October 2, 1925, in the Town of Seneca. Morris graduated from Berlin High School, and on September 29, 1949, he married Regina Kohlman at Mount Calvary. He worked for the Soo Line Railroad, and then went on to become a dedicated and successful farmer in Ripon and Rosendale. He made many friends while working on the ASCS Committee and enjoyed “sharing his wisdom” with others. He raised St. Bernards, but he truly treasured his three Dalmatians.

Morris is survived by his wife, Regina; seven children, Barbara Hoch, Laurie Prink and her husband, Steve, William and his wife, Tammy, Susan Miller and her husband, Bradley (all of Rosendale), James and his wife, Tammy (Oakfield), Lisa Schwertfeger and her grandchildren, Angela (Brent), Jason, Jamie, Christopher, Heather, Nathan, Nicole, Travis, Bradley, Tara, Kaitlyn, Tiffany, Courtney, and Joshua; one sister, Alberta Schwandt and one brother-in-law, Vernon Dorsey, both of Ripon; and one sister-in-law, LaRayne Wiese of Tuscon, Arizona. Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, David, Gilbert and Orris, and three sisters, Elita Bogutske, Orline Dorsey and Dorothy Schwark.

Visitation will be held at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, on Sunday, February 9, 1997, from 2 until 5 pm, and again on Monday, February 10, 1997, from 10 am until the time of the service at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, CTH “K” at 4th Street Rd., Fond du Lac. A short service will be held at 11 am at the Mausoleum Chapel with Father John A. Schmitz officiating.

We spend a short time here and hope to leave a mark of proof that we mattered and made a difference to someone. Morris definitely had a lot of “someone’s” in his lifetime and earned much respect from those lives he touched. He will surely be missed by many and can rest easy knowing he set a standard for many to follow.
