Mrs. R.C. Briese

Mrs. R.C. Briese, age 90, of Ripon, WI, died February 20, 1988, at Sunnyview Village Nursing Home in Princeton.

Mrs. Briese was born December 28, 1897, in Brandon, WI, to William and Mrs. Michael. She married R.C. Briese. Mrs. Briese was a housewife, a past correspondent for Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter, Oshkosh Northwestern, Waupun Leader News, Markesan Herald, Brandon Times and the Ripon Commonwealth for 60 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Briese of Ripon, WI and Betty (Marvin) Durant of Oshkosh, WI; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Briese was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1960; one son, one brother and one sister.

Visitation for Mrs. Briese will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 1988, from noon until 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

A private service will be held at a later time with the Reverend Lawrence Janssen officiating. Interment will take place at Fairwater Cemetery in the Village of Fairwater.
