Muriel R. Keipe, age 96, passed away July 23, 2004, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon where she resided.
Muriel was born July 22, 1908 in the Town of Bluffton, a daughter of Charles and Jessie (Merrill) Rosebrook. She attended Green Lake schools and in April, 1928, she married Arthur Keipe in Woodstock, IL. Muriel resided in Green Lake most of her life being employed at Fabriko as a Shipping Dept. Supervisor and as a Housemother at Ripon College. She was an avid basketball fan, especially of the Ripon College teams. Muriel was a member of the First Congregational Church UCC of Ripon.
Survivors include a daughter; Muriel Alling of Florida and her children, Nancy Wells, Wendy Thomas, Melissa (Paul) Matson, Max Alling, Amy (Mike) Lawless, Mary Sousa and Mark (Tonya) Alling. A son; Lewis Keipe of Virginia and his children, Jeff Keipe and Tom (Patty) Keipe. Daughter; Carol (Gene) Mirr and their children, Chuck (Lynn) Mirr, LuAnn (Warren) Mirr-Frank, Rich(Deb) Mirr, Deb (Pat) Ritter, Phil (Anne) Mirr and Chris Mirr. She is also survived by 37 great-granchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, other extended family and many friends and special friend Michele Wittler and family. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, Aunt Jennie Rosebrook, brother; David Rosebrook, husband; Arthur, son-in-law; Howard Alling, daughter-in-law; Joan Brievogal Keipe, grandson-in-law; Russell Wells and grandson-in-law, Bruce Sousa.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2004, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, Ripon, with a service at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Jack W. Kraaz will officiate. Inurnment will be at Dartford Cemetery, City of Green Lake. Memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice in Muriel’s memory.
