Myrtle Marie Henning, age 83, of Ripon, WI, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 1991, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
She was born September 26, 1908, in Markesan, the daughter of Charles and Ella (Schwandt) Abendroth. She was educated in Markesan. She was a nurse for over 50 years and had lived in the Ripon area most of her life. She married Herbert Henning on March 27, 1930. He preceded her in death on September 21, 1965.
Mrs. Henning was a charter member of the Ripon Womens Club, former member of Immanuel United Methodist Church of Ripon and the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the 6th District of Wisconsin Federation of Womens Clubs, member of the Ripon Garden Club and a member of American Association of Medical Assistants.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth (Betty) Henning of New Glarus; one daughter, Joan (Donald) Bruendl of Green Lake; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wilson Abendroth of Green Lake and Maurice Abendroth of Markesan; and one sister, Frances Hanson of Markesan. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Friends may call from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 1991, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Funeral Services for Mrs. Henning will be held Sunday, December 29, 1991 at the funeral home with the Reverend Stanley C.F. Hayes officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon.
