Myrtle Katerzynski

Myrtle Katerzynski, age 84, of 207 State St., Ripon, currently residing at Parkview Care Center in Ripon, died early Tuesday morning, December 4, 2001, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born March 10, 1917, in Ripon, a daughter to Richard and Emma (Schroeder) Schmuhl. Myrtle attended school in Ripon. She worked at Speed Queen and later at Ripon Laundry. Until retiring, for many years she had worked in the Commons Food Service at Ripon College. In 1936, she married Walter Naparalla, and they divorced in 1943. She later married Frank Katerzynski in 1949. Mrs. Katerzynski was a member of Our Savior’s United Church of Christ, Ripon. Myrtle liked flower gardening, going out with friends, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include 1 son, Don (Linda) Naparalla of Ripon; 3 grandchildren, Troy Naparalla of Sheboygan, Tina (Jeffrey) Bloch of Ripon, and Nicole Dammon of Ripon; 4 great-grandchildren, Emily & Alexandra Bloch of Ripon, and Evan & Eric Naparalla of Fond du Lac; and good friend, Heather Benesh of Ripon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her 2 husbands, Walter Naparalla in 1966 and Frank Katerznyski in 1990; 1 sister; and 4 brothers.
Funeral service for Myrtle Katerzynski will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2001, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Rev. Rebecca A. Johnston officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Garden of the Cross, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
