Myrtle Steineke, age 91, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, May 3, 1991, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
Mrs. Steineke was born September 5, 1899, in Ripon. She was the daughter of Franklin and Alice (All) Parmelee. Following her education in Ripon she served as a grocery store clerk. On June 28, 1920, she was united in marriage to Howard Steineke. Together they celebrated most of their married life in Omro. On July 30, 1965, he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Steineke was a member of the V.F.W. Schultz-Klemp-Wentland Auxillary #5278 of Ripon. She had also been a member of the Omro Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include two daughters, Grace Leu of Ripon and Ruth Krogh of Racine; one son, Edward (Karen) Steineke of Wauwatosa; one sister, Lilas Schram of Lansing, MI; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sons-in-laws.
Funeral services for Mrs. Steineke were held Monday, May 6, 1991, at 1:30 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. The Reverend Robert B. LeCount officiated. Interment followed in the Omro Cemetery in the Town of Omro.
