Nancy E. Gustin, age 78, of Ripon, WI, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon with her family by her side.
Nancy was born on July 19, 1933, in Ripon, the daughter of Eugene and Martha (Sworske) Nitzke. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1951 and on May 27, 1954, Nancy married Reid M. Gustin at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Markesan. Nancy worked as a clerk and typist for Sears, Roebuck for 20 years, USDA for 7 years and as a part-time Dispatcher for the Ripon Police Department for 6 years. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. Nancy was also a member and held a position as officer for the Ripon and Pickett Horse Clubs and Waukau Flying Mane Horse Club. Recently, she volunteered at Russell Manor and Commission on Aging of Fond du Lac County.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Gustin of Brandon, WI; two daughters, Marsha “MZ” (Kirk) Yazel of Ripon, WI and Sara (Ken) Gustin-Krause of Westfield, WI; four grandchildren, Nicholas Gustin of Fond du Lac, WI, Nicole Gustin of Le High Acres, FL, Jenni (Anthony) Holt of Ripon and Josh Zuhlke of Oshkosh, WI; six great-grandchildren, Kitana Gustin of New Holstein, WI, Caden and Arianna DeMarco of Le High Acres, FL, Austin and Brennan Gustin of Fond du Lac, WI and Ella Mae Holt of Ripon, WI; one niece, Sandy (Joe) Moore of Essex Junction, VT and one brother-in-law, Donald (Bev) Gustin of Wilmington, DE. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reid in 2009; son, Rick Gustin in 1977 and her dog, Yuma.
Visitation for Nancy Gustin will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012, from 10:30 – 12:00 pm at Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial service for Nancy Gustin will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 12:00 pm at Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971. Reverend Bryan Fritsch will officiate. Private family inurnment will follow at Nepeuskun Cemetery in the Town of Nepeuskun. A memorial is being established.
