Nancy Kohnke, age 69, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, WI.
Nancy was born February 25, 1946, in Ripon, the daughter of Henry and Birdell (Krueger) Kohnke. In her younger days, she babysat a lot and then was taught how to be a cook in school. Nancy used her skills to cook at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards and Bingo but what she loved most was church. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her cousins, Jernette Krenz of Randolph, WI, Gordon Floeter of Milwaukee, WI, Charlotte (David) Bastian of Killeen, TX, David, Diana Dorsch and Barbara “Bunny” Kohnke all of Ripon. Nancy was further survived by great nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and Jernette’s husband, Lloyd Krenz.
Visitation for Nancy will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015, from 10 – 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 West Griswold St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Nancy will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Clay R. Salmela will officiate. Interment will follow at Garden of the Cross in Ripon. Memorials may be directed to Arthritis Foundation, 10427 W. Lincoln Ave. Suite 1300, West Allis, WI 53227.
