Naomi Heckes

Naomi M. Heckes, 87, of 50 Wolverton Ave. Ripon, died on Thursday, December 19, 2002, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.

Naomi was born on April 9, 1915, in Green Lake County, the daughter of Eugene and Inez (Johnson) Quick. On September 22, 1936, she married Gordon Heckes in Pickett. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, and enjoyed sewing, baking and painting.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Christianson of Wichita, KS; one son, Ronald “Pete” (Shirley) Heckes of Avon Lake, OH; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Evelyn Grahn and Dorothy Badtke, both of Ripon. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister; Irma Grout; and one brother, Lyle Quick.

Funeral services for Naomi Heckes will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2002 at 1:30 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Rev. Bryan Fritsch officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 11:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Town of Utica.
