Naomi Kelm Carley, age 85, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon.
Naomi was born August 23, 1928, the daughter of William and Erna (Schroeder) Rasske of Rosendale. Naomi was educated in Rosendale and Ripon, and then went on to attend Oshkosh Business College, in Oshkosh. On March 6, 1948, Naomi was united in marriage to David Kelm. Naomi and David founded Flowers by David in Ripon, and worked there until retirement. David preceded her in death in 1993. Naomi was united in marriage to Dr. Richard Carley on July 2, 1994. Richard preceded her in death in 2008. Naomi was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ripon, Naomi Circle, Women of Grace, Worship Committee and Altar Guild. She was also a volunteer at Ripon Medical Center.
Naomi is survived by four children, Sherry (Bill) Glen of Apex, NC, Douglas (Kathy) Kelm of Ripon, WI, Kathleen Meinke (Rick Tucker) of Madison, WI, and Richard (Karen) Kelm of Ripon, WI. She is also survived by four step-children, Jeff (Pat) Carley of Fredrick, WI, Chris Carley Adams (Bob Lane) of St. Louis, MO, Caryl (Scott) Doberstein of La Crosse, WI, and Ted (Loraine) Carley of Ripon, WI. She is also survived by two brothers, Norman (Nola) Rasske of Ripon, WI, Lynn Rasske of Beaver Dam, WI; two sisters, Rosalie Jess of Ripon, WI, and Gloria (Robert) Kelm of Markesan, WI, 17 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Naomi Kelm Carley will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, from 9:30-11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold Street, Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Services for Naomi Kelm Carley will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Clay R. Salmela will officiate. Interment will follow at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in the City of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
