Naomi Ware, age 48, Town of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 1991, at her home.
She was born May 23, 1943 in Massachusetts, to John Ware Jr. and Elizabeth (Cook) Ware. On April 11, 1970 she married James Hooker who preceded her in death on May 23, 1976.
Naomi graduated from Vasser College in New York, and obtained her Masters Degree in Anthropology from the University of Indiana. She spent two years of field study in Anthropology in Africa. She was a member of the Ripon Stamp Club, Ripon Flying Club, World Mail Carriers Association, Gordon Setter Club of America, and St. Peters Episcopal Church, Ripon where she was the church organist.
Survivors include one daughter, Antonia (Bradley) Keso, of Fond du Lac, one step-daughter, Alison Hooker of Philadelphia, PA, one step-son, Ralph Hooker of Jackson, MI, her step-mother, Penelope Ware of Dover, MA, and one sister, Camilla VanBergen of New York, NY. Further survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 1991, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Peters Episcopal Church, Ripon. The Reverend Robert J.C. Brown will officiate. Friends may call on the family following the service in the lower level of the church for a time of remembrance and refreshments. A memorial has been established for the Fond du Lac County Humane Society.
