Nelle Simmons, age 67, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 1956, at her home.
Nelle was born November 22, 1888, in Ripon, WI, the daughter of George Russell and Stella (Allen) Colton. She attended Ripon Public Schools and went on to Oshkosh Business College. On October 23, 1915, Nelle married Waler W. Simmons at Nashotah, WI. She worked as an order clerk at the Ripon Knitting Works for 32 years. Nelle was a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ray Hildebrandt of Markesan and one son, Robert H. Simmons of Ripon; six grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Gyda Dornbrook of Cleveland, TN. She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 4, 1956, after 3:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Nelle will be held on Friday, October 5, 1956, at 2:00 pm at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Ripon with The Reverend Harris T. Hall officiating. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon.
