Nettie Treleven Fairchild, age 95, of Silver Creek Manor in Ripon, WI, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 19, 1996, at Ripon Medical Center.
Nettie was born July 19, 1901, in Fond du Lac, a daughter to William and Grace Longdin Treleven. She attended school in Fond du Lac, Grafton Hall, and University of Cincinnati and graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and was an English teacher. Nettie married Philip Fairchild in 1933, and he died in 1993. They had lived in Green Lake, Madison, Sun Prairie and spent October thru May in Sun City, Arizona for many years.
She is survived by one niece, Kathro Taylor and her husband, Robert and their son, Scott A. Taylor of Ripon; one nephew, William Treleven and his wife, Tammy of Sun Prairie and children, Chris and Nicole Nilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Philip M. Fairchild in 1993; two sisters, infant Marie and Grace Marie Suprenand; and two brothers, John and Daniel Treleven.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place and ashes will be inurned at Green Lake Center Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake. A memorial has been established in her name.
