Nicholas Uitz, age 89 of Green Lake, passed away early Sunday morning July 15, 2007 at Fountain View Care center in Ripon.
Nicholas was born on November 8, 1917 in Chicago, IL the son of John and Margaret (Michels) Uitz. He graduated from Waller High School, and served his country in the U.S. Army in India during WWII. On July 4, 1948 he married Concetta M. Palazzolo. Nick worked as an Estimator for a Mill Work Company. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake, VFW of Illinois, and the Green Lake Willis-Chapel American Legion Post #306.
Nick is survived by his son John (Shirley) Uitz of AR, daughter Margaret (Bob) Bostelmann of Green Lake, WI, five grandchildren; Stephan (special friend, Toya) Uitz of AR, Nancy Uitz of AR, Bobby Bostelmann Jr. of Ripon, WI, Nichole (Shane) Weir of Neshkoro, WI, and Lynne (Brian) Dudzinski of IL, one great-grandson, Nathan Dudzinski of IL, and one great-granddaughter, Addison Uitz of AR. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Nick was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers; John and Jacob Uitz.
Visitation for Nicholas Uitz will be held on Friday, July 20, 2007 from 10-11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake.
Mass of Christian Burial for Nicholas Uitz will be held on Friday, July 20, 2007 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake with Father Philip Krogman officiating. Interment will follow in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. Memorials can be given to the Green Lake Rotary Club for the “Support the Troops Fund” P.O. Box 95, Green Lake, WI 54941.
