Nile Pausig

June 13, 1937 — May 10, 2004

Nile E. Pausig, age 66, of W2410 Hwy 23 West, Green Lake, passed away Monday morning, May 10, 2004, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 13, 1937, in Oshkosh, the son of Edward R. and Una Sophia (Umbriet) Pausig. After graduating from high school, he attended North Central College in Naperville, Illinois for 3 years. Nile received an honorable discharge as a Warrant Officer in the U.S. Air Force, and had participated in the 5th Air Force Band while stationed in Japan. He had been President of Sheboygan Casket Co. in Sheboygan until retiring. He had been a member of the First Congregational Church in Oshkosh, and had lived in Oshkosh prior to moving to Green Lake.

Nile’s fraternal organizations were: Provincial Grand Lodge Order of Scotland; Northeast Wisconsin York College #112, Temple Organist; Regional Ambassador TRIPOLI Shrine, Milwaukee; President Winnebagoland Shrine Club; Associate Member BEJA Shrine, Green Bay; and 32nd Degree Scottish Rite -- all of York Rite Inclusive.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon R. (Schmit) Pausig of Green Lake; mother, Una S. Pausig of Green Lake; 1 daughter, Ellen L. Welk (Gerald R.) of Oshkosh; 1 son, Edward N. Pausig (Leah) of Menasha; 2 grandsons, Samuel J. & Jordan T. Pausig of Menasha; 1 sister, Nola L. Keslinke (Richard) of Geneva, IL; and 1 niece, Emlynn R. Grisar (Mike R.) of Hartford. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward R. Pausig in 1976.

Private graveside service and interment was in Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh. Pastor Levi Snyder officiating. Memorials in his name to Masonic Lodges #27 & #95.
