Nora Korwitz, 93, of Russell Manor, Ripon, passed away at Ripon Medical Center on Tuesday, July 20, 2004.
Nora was born to Herman G. and Emma (Koentopp) Schrader on January 30, 1911. She received her education at Loper School and Ripon High School, followed by a college degree from Oshkosh State Normal. She was employed at Conneys Department Store and Kathryns Apparel in Ripon, as an assistant buyer and sales person until 1950. On April 8, 1953 she married William C. Korwitz in Berlin. They farmed until 1976, at which time ill health forced them to retire. In 1977 they built a home on their farm property. Bill died on December 9, 1977. Nora continued to live in her country home until November, 1995, when she retired to an apartment at Russell Manor in Ripon. Nora was a compassionate person who had many friends. She thoroughly enjoyed living every stage of her life, and particularly being on the farm and in her country home. To know Nora was to love her.
Nora is survived by one sister-in-law, Helene Schrader; and a niece, Evelyn Wahoske, as well as many cousins. She is further survived by many kind, loyal, and thoughtful neighbors and friends. Nora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, and three brothers.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Ripon, on Friday, July 23, 2004 at 3:00 pm with the Rev. David A. Busker officiating.
