Norma Lee Mickle, age 85 of 517 Luco Road, Fond du Lac, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 8, 2006 with her family at her side at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
Norma was born on October 28, 1920 the daughter of William T. and Rosalee (Tanner) Dugger at their home with a doctor in attendance in Gainesville, TX. Norma graduated from Atlanta High School in Texas, and was a homemaker. She married John Lewis Mickle, Jr. on August 15, 1943 at the Naval Chapel in Corpus Christi, TX, she was a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years, the Methodist Church, and the White Shrine.
Survivors include her five children, Judith Ann (Nick) Van Swol of Dyer, IN, Patricia Jean (Marty) Leitner of Las Vegas, NV, John Douglas and Kathy Mickle of Oak Park, IL, Victoria Lynn and Robert Gestring of Ripon, and Lee Ann (Jerry) Sherwood of Oshkosh, WI; one brother, Jerry Wayne Dugger of Texarkana, TX, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Lewis Mickle, Jr.
A memorial service for: Norma L. Mickle will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Sister Ann Jude VanLanen officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Green Lake Center Cemetery, Town of Green Lake with her husband. The family would like to give special thanks to the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac and the Fond du Lac Hospice Hope program and staff, as well as the Lake View Estates and its staff. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac or the Hospice Hope of Fond du Lac.
