Olga S. Sargent, 94, passed away Monday, July 10, 2000, at The Willows Nursing Center in Sun Prairie, where she had resided for the past 8 years.
She was born November 29, 1905, in Ripon, the daughter of the late Emil and Louise (Strutz) Shave. Olga attended Ripon Schools. On July 4, 1925, she married Ralph W. Sargent, and they lived in Ripon until retirement. They then resided in Orlando, FL for 12 years. Ralph preceded her in death on February 8, 1976, at which time she took up residence in Sun Prairie. Olga was an avid bridge player. She was also a lifelong member in Order of the Eastern Star where she served one time as a Worthy Matron.
Survivors include her son, James (Dorothy) Sargent of LaCrosse; 1 granddaughter, Sandy (Andrew) Kennelly of Onalaska; 3 great.grandchildren, Connor, Ryan and Erin Kennelly; and 3 nieces. In addition to her husband, Olga was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Graveside services conducted by Order of the Eastern Star will be 11 a.m. on Friday, July 14, 2000, at Hillside Cemetery, Ripon.
