Orleen A. Belau, 84, of Osborn Rd, Ripon, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, May 17, 2004.

She was born on April 15, 1920 in the township of Alto to Bert and Cora (Wilsnack) Klingbeil. Orleen graduated from Ripon High School and Green Lake County Normal, after which she taught in rural Markesan and Berlin Schools. On October 17, 1942 she married Norman Belau at the home of her parents. Shortly after their marriage, she joined her husband in the farming operation on Reeds Corners Rd, rural Ripon.

Orleen had many loves in her life. The first being her love of God and family. Her love of people was evident in the many ways she shared her life. She was an active member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and the Mary Martha Circle. She had taken pride in the work she helped provide through the Meal of Thanks and earlier in life she had shared her love of teaching children through the Sunday School Program at First Methodist Church. She was a care giver, enabling many elderly persons to stay in their homes by the friendship and excellent cooking she provided to them. She shared her caring attitude also by being a Hospice volunteer, and by being a 4-H leader for many years. She and Norman received the Fond du Lac County Distinguished 4-H Leader Award. She loved birds and flowers, and was a member of the Ceresco Garden Club. Friendships were also shared in her card club. Her greatest love was shown in the care and love she gave to her family, and sharing her Christian love by always being there for them. She spread her love through cooking and baking, and always being there to lend a hand.

Survivors include her daughters, Kay (William) Zinecker of Green Lake, and Dawn (Kevin) Moore of Puyallup, Washington; son, Barrie (Debby) Belau of Ripon; daughter-in-law, Bev Belau of Ripon; grandchildren, Darren (Connie) Zinecker, Jaime (Kim) Zinecker, Jill (Tom) Auchtung, Stephanie (Bill) Schlehlein, Heather (Brock) Stellmacher, Angie (Mitch) Beuthin, Clint (Bek Schelter) Belau, Mandy Belau, and Carter Moore.. She was preceded in death by husband, Norman in December of 1991; son, Chris in May of 2000; brother, Glendale; and parents.
