Orville G. Breivogel, age 97, of Ripon, WI, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, at Prairie Place in Ripon.
Orville was born January 10, 1924, in Ripon, WI, to Edward H. and Laura E. (Nickolai) Breivogel. He married Arvilla Polfuss on January 31, 1947 at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Orville was educated at Ripon Schools and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force in WWII. He was honorably discharged in January of 1946. Orville worked as Speed Queen for many years retiring in January of 1986. He was an active member of the VFW Post 5278 of Ripon and a life-long member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ. After retirement, he was a dedicated employee of Auction Associates in Ripon.
Orville is survived by two nieces, Julie (Jay) Cummings and Kathy (Steve) Drier; nephews, Jim (Holly) Polfuss, Jeff (Karen) Polfuss and Keith (Michelle) Polfuss; brother-in-law, Don (Sandy) Polfuss and good friends, Robert “Bob” Witt Brenda and Dennis Miller. He is further survived by great nieces and nephews. Orville was preceded by his parents, wife, Arvilla in May of 2003; brother, Bill (Marge) Breivogal.
Visitation for Orville will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 9 – 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Orville will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon with Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be directed to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
