Orville Emerson

November 21, 1929 — April 1, 2007

Orville Frank Emerson, 77, of 169 Huron St. Berlin, passed away on April 1, 2007 at Berlin Memorial Hospital.

Orville was born on November 21, 1929 the son of Lloyd and Viola (Pinnow) Emerson in the Town of Oakfield, WI. He attended Oakfield schools and worked at Rippin’ Foods as a machine operator for 38 years. On June 26, 1954 he married Marlene Vossekuil in Waupun. They made their home in Rush Lake, and Orville was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, and the American Legion Brown-Parfitt Post #43, Ripon. Orville served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953.

Survivors include his children; Gail Carley of Berlin, Roger (Joan)Emerson of Ripon, Lisa and (Bob) Kwakkel of Ripon, grandchildren; Amy (Carlo) McCormick of Berlin, Eric Carley & Jason Carley both of Ripon, Chad (Catie) Emerson of Evansville, Curt (Fiancée Jamie) Emerson of Berlin, great-grandchildren; Allison McCormick & Brandon McCormick both of Berlin, 4 sisters; Geraldine (Ed) Schmid, and Katrina Trapp both of Colorado, Claudine (John) Lehman of Randolph, and 1 brother Glen (Marsha) Emerson of Colorado, many nieces and nephews and his special friend, Dorothy Kehlenbrink of Ripon. Orville was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marlene, and 1 sister, Lucille Oathust.

Visitation for Orville R. Emerson will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Thursday, April 5, 2007 from 9:30-10:30 at Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon.

Funeral Services for Orville F. Emerson will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Kelly Taylor-Schaus officiating. Interment will follow in Nepeuskun Cemetery, Town of Nepeuskun. A memorial has been established.
