Oscar Beck

Oscar Andrew Beck, age 92, of the Town of Rosendale, died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center, Neenah, as a result of injuries he suffered earlier in the morning while crossing the road in front of his home.
He was born May 19, 1908, in Carmi, IL, a son to Jacob and Mary (Gates) Beck. He received his education in Carmi. On June 30, 1929, he married Velma Fay Frazier. Mr. Beck farmed all of his life on his farm in the Town of Rosendale. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and Royal Neighbors.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Fay Beck of Rosendale; 1 son, Earl (Betty) Beck of Rosendale; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Faith Beck of Campbellsport; 3 brothers, Kenneth (Jean) Beck of Normal, IL, Homer (Pauline) Beck of Carmi, IL, and Edward (Mary) Beck of Norris City, IL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, and 6 brothers.
Funeral service for Oscar Beck will be Thursday, June 8, 2000, at 7:30 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Pastor Tom Morgan officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:30 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. A Memorial has been established.
