Otto F. Jeske, age 94, died comfortably at his Ripon home on Thursday, September 2, 2021.
Otto was born March 24, 1927 in Saskatchewan, Canada. He came to the United States as a young child with his parents and sister. He served our country as a member of the United States Navy during WWII, spending most of his time in China.
Otto married Margaret Ann Schuette in Redgranite, WI on September 19, 1964. They lived in Brookfield for over 40 years in the home he built, before moving to Ripon. They enjoyed traveling, especially cruising and camping and spending their summers at their second home on Pearl Lake.
Otto was a master electrician and was employed at the Milwaukee Boston Store as their chief electrician for many years, and was a proud member of IBEW. Otto loved music. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Otto will be deeply missed by his wife Margaret Ann Jeske, of Ripon; his loving daughter, Cheryl (James) Waarvik; his granddaughters, Jami (Jeffrey) Hoffmeier, Jodi (Joey) Tolfa and Juli Waarvik; and his adored great-grandchildren, McKenzie Hoffmeier, Sophia Tolfa, Mason Hoffmeier, Lucy Tolfa, Josephine Tolfa and Abram Tolfa. Otto was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Amalia Jeske; his sister and brother-in-law, Lill and Ed Gavel; sister-in-law, Kathleen Schuette Stevens; his brother-in-law, James Stevens; and his nephew, Clare Gavel.
A visitation for Otto will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 10 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, WI 54971.
A memorial service for Otto will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend Clay R. Salmela officiating. Inurnment will follow at Foster Road Cemetery, Redgranite, WI, with a Final Salute with Military Funeral Honors. Memorials may be directed to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, WI 54971 or the charity of your choice in Ottos name.
