Otto Robert Nitz, age 86, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 1990, at Omro Care Center, Omro.
He was born October 23, 1904, in the Town of Rosendale, Fond du Lac Co., a son of Frederick and Emilia (Baier) Nitz. On August 4, 1928, he married Ruth Dorothy Heckes. She preceded him in death on January 2, 1981.
Mr. Nitz farmed in the Ripon area most of his life. He was a member of the Fond du Lac Co. Farm Bureau, member of the Town of Rosendale Zoning Board for ten years, and was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pickett.
Survivors include one son, Lloyd (Mary Lou) of Ripon; one daughter, Alice Jean Nummerdor of Waupun; one sister-in-law, Edith Nitz of Berlin; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife, seven brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call Monday, November 5, 1990, from 5:00 until 9:00 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Mr. Nitz will be held Tuesday, November 6, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett, with the Reverend Alvin Aichele officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett.
