Owen "Gramps" Searl

Owen “Gramps” Searl, age 94, of Ripon, passed away on April 14, 2009, at American House in Ripon, WI.
Owen was born on August 8, 1914, in Hancock, WI, the son of Emmit and Josephine (Lipkin) Searl. He graduated from Green Lake High School and in 1933, he married Loretta Liebke. Owen was a factory laborer for 55 years, on an assembly line at Speed Queen and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He also loved to garden and play cards.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie (Franklin) Rozek of DePere, WI; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Owen was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sons, Wayne and Donald; and five brothers.
Visitation for Owen Searl will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2009, from 10 – 12:00 noon at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Owen Searl will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2009, at 12:00 noon at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. Pastor Maurice A. Schaus will be officiating. Interment will follow at Brandon Cemetery, Brandon. Memorials will be given to Hospice Advantage, 1020 S. Main St. Suite B, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
