Patricia Jean Nichols, age 76, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at home with her family by her side.

Patricia was born on December 7, 1936, in Ironwood, MI, the daughter of Michael and Lucille
(Gravitz) Cvengros. She graduated from Luther L. Wright High School. In August of 1957, Patricia married James Nichols in Ironwood. Patricia and James were the owners of Squeaks Log Cabin located in Montreal, WI until 1978. She went onto further her education at Gogebic Community College. Patricia also worked in administration for Wisconsin Department of Transportation from 1984 until 2002, when she then retired to Ripon.

Patricia enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and gardening. She also enjoyed cooking, working jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her grand dog, Curly.

Survivors include her daughter, Diana “Deedee” (Gary) Zarzyski of Ripon, WI; granddaughter, Rachel Zarzyski of Eau Claire, WI; one brother, Thomas Cvengros of Hurley, WI; sister, Rita Grasso of Sturtevant, WI and several nieces and nephews. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James in 1976 and two brothers, Joseph and James Cvengros.

Visitation for Patricia will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012, from 10:30 – 11:30 am at Ripon Community Church, 155 State St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 11:30 am at Ripon Community Church in Ripon. Pastor Sam Prellwitz will officiate. Inurnment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hurley, WI will take place at a later date. A memorial is being established.
