Patricia “Pat” J. Wood, age 70, of Ripon, WI passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin, WI.
Pat was born in Ripon on June 27, 1949, the daughter of Alfred and Anna (Vranak) Wrzinski. She attended Ripon High School. In 1987 Pat opened Small World Daycare. She enjoyed each and every day she spent with her kids. Some days were a challenge but managed to get through each and every day. On September 13, 1996 she married Leslie “Les” Wood, and on February 28, 2008 he passed away. Les was her best friend and the one she chose to spend the rest of her life with, and now they will meet again and start the journey all over again. Pat was a member and past president of the Ripon Lioness Club as well as a member of the Santa Club. She was also a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon.
Pat is survived by her sister, Lori (Harry) Christensen of Princeton, WI; brothers, Henry (Cari) Wrzinski of Montello, WI and Joseph (Susan) Wrzinski of Ripon, WI; a grandson, Chandler Wood of Green Lake, WI; daughter-in-law, Leslie Wood; a sister-in-law, Linda Neuenfeldt; brother-in-law, David (Kaye) Wood; special God-children, Emily Burk of Berlin, WI, Anthony Beaupre of North Carolina, Morgan Beaupre of Omro, WI, and Tristian Copper; many nieces and nephews and many many day care children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Wood; parents, Alfred and Anna Wrzinski; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy and Milton Wood; an adopted son, Robert Parks; a sister, Sharon Wrzinski; a brother, Joseph Henry Wrzinski; brothers-in-law, Alvin Immel and Fred Neuenfeldt; and a nephew, Matthew Wood.
Visitation for Pat will be held from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Prayer Service for Pat will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Rev. Davies Edassery officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon, WI. In lieu of flowers Pat's wishes were to receive unwrapped new toys, which after the funeral service can be donated to The Santa Club.
