Patrick Leo Burk, age 88, of Markesan, WI, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016, in his home.
Patrick was born October 14, 1927, in Kingston, the son of Dennis and Catherine (Leahy) Burk. In 1951 he married Beatrice Joyce Makurat. Patrick was a farmer his whole life, a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, and the Farm Bureau.
Survivors Include his children, Roberta (Thomas) Walker of Ripon, WI, Anthony (Mary) Burk of Brandon, WI; grandchildren, Tiffany (Ben) Kinas of Green Lake, WI, Kimberly (Ben Drews) Burk of Markesan, WI, Adam Burk of Markesan, WI, Courtney Burk of Brandon, WI, Tyler Burk of Brandon, WI, Cordell (Caryssa Waite) Walker of Ripon, WI; great-grandson, Cameron Kinas of Green Lake, WI; siblings, Dennis (Rosemary) Burk of Mequon, WI, John (Sharon) Burk of Markesan, WI, Mary Campion of Montello, WI, William Burk of Dalton, WI; sisters-in-law, Regina Burk of Waupun, WI, Carol Burk of Kingston, WI; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Patrick was proceeded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Peter and Theresa Makurat; wife, Beatrice Joyce Burk; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick “Rick” and Diane Burk; brothers, Terrance Burk, Maurice Burk; sisters and brothers-in-law, Monica (Jack) Curtis, Agnes (Clarence) Resop, Catherine (David) Williams, Dolores (Al) Lynch, Kelly Campion; sister-in-law, Bonnie Burk.
Visitation for Patrick L. Burk will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2016, from 4 – 7:30pm, with Rosary to follow at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, from 10 – 11am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth St., Green Lake, WI 54941.
Mass of Christian Burial for Patrick L. Burk will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 11am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. Father Philip Krogman will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial is being established.
