Patrick “Rick” D. Burk, age 54, Town of Green Lake, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at his home.

Pat was born on July 27, 1953, in Waupun, the son of Patrick L. and Beatrice (Makurat) Burk. He graduated from Markesan High School and immediately following he began to work full time on his family’s farm. On November 15, 1980 he married Diane Neumann at St. John’s Lutheran Church, in the Town of Trenton. In addition to being a life-long Farmer, Pat was also an Usher at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Green Lake, a member of the Markesan FFA Alumni serving as Vice President, and was currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Green Lake County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife; Diane Burk, a daughter; Kimberly Burk, and a son; Adam Burk. Also surviving are his father; Patrick L. Burk, a sister, Roberta (Tom) Walker their children; Tiffany Walker, Cordell Walker all of Ripon, a brother; Anthony (Mary) Burk their children; Courtney Burk, Tyler Burk all of Brandon, and mother and father-in-law; Lloyd and Orva Neumann of Beaver Dam, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Pat was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice J. Burk.

Visitation for Patrick D. Burk will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again on Friday, October 19, 2007 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake.

Mass of Christian Burial for Patrick D. Burk will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake with Father Philip Krogman officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lake Center Cemetery, Town of Green Lake. A Memorial has been established.
