Paul W. Bird, age 89, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Friday, December 25, 1987, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Paul was born March 5, 1898, in Prescott, SD, the son of George and Ella (Mae) Bird. He served our country in the United States Army during WWI as a Bugler. Paul received a BA at River Falls College and did graduate work at the University of Minnesota and Wisconsin. In July of 1922, he married Dagny Chistianson. He was a supervising principal at Green Lake Public Schools and a music teacher. Paul was a member of Federated Church of Green Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Dagny; one son, George of Ypsilanti, MI and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Visitation for Paul will be held on Sunday, December 27, 1987, from 6 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Paul will be held on Monday, December 28, 1987, at 1:30 pm at Federated Church of Green Lake with Reverend Dwight Bastian officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. A memorial has been established for the church.
