Paul Conant Sr.

Paul L. Conant Sr., age 76, of Ripon, WI, passed away on April 2, 2012, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon.
Paul was born at home on Watson Street in Ripon on June 25, 1935, the son of George H. and Dorothy (Bryan) Conant Sr. He graduated from Ripon High School and went on to further his education at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany. On December 26, 1962, he married Florence Hunter. Paul was owner and CEO of Triarch, Incorporated, in Ripon. He was a member of the Botanical Society of America, Phi Beta Kappa, American Fern Society, American Society of Parasitologists, Mycological Society of America, Biological Stain Commission, Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, Ripon area Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club and a member of First Congregational Church of Ripon UCC.
Survivors include his wife Florence; sons George (Rachel) Conant of Virginia, Paul Conant Jr. and (fiancé Ayumi Caspary) of California; one daughter, Catherine Conant (Jeff Bardsley), of Ripon; 3 grandchildren, Emily Marie Conant, and Paul and David Bardsley; brother George Conant Jr. of Massachusetts; sister Claire (Roy) Neynaber, of California; sister-in-law Audrey Conant of Ripon; and several nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Orin and Roger Conant.
Visitation for Paul L. Conant Sr. will be held Friday, April 6, 2012, from 10-11:00 am at First Congregational Church of Ripon UCC, 220 Ransom Street, Ripon, WI. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 11:00 am at First Congregational Church of Ripon, UCC, 220 Ransom Street, in Ripon. Reverend Greg Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established.
