Paul Murphy

February 6, 1938 — June 23, 2005

Paul Anthony Murphy, 67, of 505 Metomen St, Ripon, passed away Thursday morning, June 23, 2005, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born February 6, 1938, in Oshkosh, the son of Lawrence Anthony and Frances M. (Donahue) Murphy. He received a B.S. Degree in 1969 from WSU-Oshkosh, currently called UW-Oshkosh, and taught school at the Clintonville Jr. High School for 9 years in the ‘60’s. Since June of 1979, Paul had worked as a machine operator at Precision Metalsmith’s, Inc. in Markesan. Paul had been a member of the Army National Guard.

Survivors include 1 son, Thomas A. Murphy of Oshkosh; daughters, Anne (Clay) Prickette of Green Bay and Pamela (Vaughn) Obry of Neenah; sister, Joan Zemlock of Oshkosh; niece, Lisa Zemlock & husband, Ron Olson of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Dalton & Pierce Prickette, Dylan Murphy, Taylor & Reagan Obry; and great-nephew, Ronald Lee Zemlock-Olson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Lois (Hansen) on December 26, 2000.

A special thank you to all of the Hansen Family for their support over the years. Also a special thanks to his physician, Dr Gauthier, and the Ripon Medical Center Staff for all of their care.

Funeral service for Paul A. Murphy will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2005
at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with the Rev. Gerald Schrankler officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
