Paul Sluka

Paul F. Sluka, age 53, was called home by our Lord on Saturday, February 17, 2007, at Markesan Resident Home.
Paul was born on July 14, 1953, in Chicago IL, the son of Otto Sluka and Agatha O’Donnell. Paul graduated from East Lyden High School in 1971. Paul then attended Penn Foster College and Moraine Technical College. On July 26, 1980 Paul married Aileen Gegeanis in Chicago IL. Paul worked in maintenance for a nursery. Paul also belonged to Markesan Bible Church, Cavalier’s Drum and Bugle Corp, and he was a musician with numerous other bands.
Survivors include his wife, Aileen Sluka, his father Otto Sluka of Laredo TX, one brother, Mark (Naomi) Sluka of Tipton IN, , four nephews, Arthur (Ashley) Sluka of IN, Philip (Kristi) Sluka of IN, David Sluka of IN, one niece, Janelle Sluka, and mother-in-law Marion Gegeanis, two sisters-in-law, Jordine and Luanne, two brothers-in-law John (Judy) Gegeanis, James (Patricia) Gegeanis, and their son James Michael Jr. He was proceded in death by his mother Agatha O’Donnell, and his grandmother Cecilia Sluka.
Memorial Services for Paul Sluka will be held on Saturday February 24, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Markesan Bible Church in Markesan with Pastor Levi Snyder officiating. The family has requested no flowers please. A Memorial has not been established.
