Paul “Wags” A. Wagner, age 54, of Ripon, WI, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon. Paul had been fighting Lung Cancer since September of 2013.

Paul was born May 7, 1960, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, son of Janet and Leander Wagner. Paul married Ruth Liptow on February 20, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV. Ruth and Paul had been together 22 years prior to them getting married.

Paul grew up in Pickett on a farm. He went to Ripon schools all his life, graduating from Ripon High School. Paul was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Wagner of Ripon; his step-son, David (Jenny) Vissors and their two daughters, Abagale and Siera all of Kaukauna. Also seven siblings, Jerome (Betrish) Wagner of Van Dyne, Dan (Nancy) Wagner of Ripon, Ruth (Mike) Jones, Neenah, Tina (Pat) Holt of MN, Jane Wagner of Ripon, Sarah (Paul) DuFrane of Fond du Lac, John (Mary) Wagner of Ripon; sisters-in-law, Lil Court of Appleton, Sharon Brocherdt of Waupaca, Jane (Steve) Blair of Appleton, Grace (Rod) Bonjean of Fredonia, Josie (Joe) Roth of TN, Sue (Larry) Gaugne of MN, Jackie (Dale) Lambie of Kaukauna, Janice (Tom) Rutten of Freedom, Julie (Tom)Siebers of Combined Locks and brother-in-law, Dan (Sue) Jansen of Little Chute. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Leander Wagner.

Visitation for Paul will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Saturday, March 7, 2015, from
9:30 – 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church 218 Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 218 Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971. Interment will take place on Monday, March 9, 2015, at 10:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Kaukauna, WI. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Memorials may be directed to Agnesian Hospice Hope, 430 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
