Pearl E. Beier, age 71, of 864 Nordane Ave., Ripon, died Thursday evening, September 12, 2002, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born February 10, 1931, in Ripon, a daughter to Gordon and Emma (Becker) Gneiser. She graduated from Ripon High School, and on May 19, 1951, she married Kenneth Beier at Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon. Pearl worked at Kathryn’s Dress Shop. Pearl then owned and operated Royal Fashions for 12 years and then Pearl’s House of Fashion for 22 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, B.P.W., and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Pearl enjoyed knitting baby things and afghans, and trips to the casino’s.
Survivors include her husband, Ken Beier; son, Jim (Jennifer) Beier of Ripon; 2 daughters, Kathy (Cal) Ter Beest of Ripon and Barbara (Bud) Pretasky of Cape Coral, FL; 2 grandchildren, Megan (Kevin) Meyer of Darboy and Sara Beier of Ripon; sister-in-law, Charlotte Wehrmann of Fisk; nieces, nephews, cousins and special cousin, Elaine Moriarty of Berlin. Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral service for Pearl E. Beier will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 16, 2002, at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul L. Holte officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon and again on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Memorials will go to Grace Lutheran Church.
