Peter S.(Smokey) Docta, 75, of Ripon, WI, died Saturday February 3, 1996, at the Ripon Medical Center.
He was born on October 30, 1920, to the late Paul and Paulina (Harbasavich) Docta in Milwaukee, WI. Peter graduated from Milwaukee High School and went one year to Technical School. Moving from Milwaukee to Ripon in 1946, he started his own welding business, D n D Welding Service. On November 30, 1957, he married Donna Galow in Brandon, WI. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Peter is survived by his wife; Donna, eight children; Debbie (Dan) Blank of Brandon, Steve Docta of Oshkosh, Patti Docta of Ripon, Laurie (Gregg) Yasick of Green Lake, Peter Docta Jr. of Madison, Wendy (Michael) Born of Oshkosh, Randy Docta of Oshkosh, Ronald Docta of Ripon; six grandchildren, Dana, Doug, Danielle, Alex, Camiele and Philip; one brother; Alex (Marion) Docta of Ripon; two sisters, Fannie (Chet) Orlikowski of Milwaukee, Mary (G.Thomas) Morris of Milwaukee, several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and twin brothers; Lawrance (Mae) Docta and Paul (Virginia) Docta.
Funeral services for Peter will be held Tuesday February 6, 1996, at 11:00 A.M. at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. Friends may call Monday February 5, 1996, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Butzin—Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Friends may also call on Tuesday before the service at the church from 10 A.M until the time of the service. The Rev. Byran Fritsch will officiate burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
