Philip Victor Peterson, age 68, of Ripon, WI, passed away Friday, December 3, 1992, at his home.
He was born August 19, 1925, in Abbotsford, WI the son of Walter and Bertha (Bond) Peterson. On February 7, 1948 he married Verna Conrad. She preceded him in death in 1981. On July 16, 1983 he married Charlotte Neubauer. Mr. Peterson was educated in Colby, WI and was employed as a carpenter at Speed Queen. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 5278, a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ, and a little league intramural coach for many years. He was an avid sportsman, outdoorsman and woodworker. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1945- 1947.
Survivors include his wife, two sons: Gary (Patricia) of Wausau, and Greg (Annette) of Kenosha, one daughter: Barbara (Andre) Lesperance of West Bend, and nineteen grandchildren. He is further survived by one step-son, Lawrence (Joann) Neubauer of Appleton, three step-daughters: Kathryn (Dennis) Moe of Winneconne, Sandra (Gary) Dzioba of Waukesha and Linda (Greg) Clark of Omro and two sisters: Ruth Schaetzka and Lillian Spychalla both of Ripon. He was preceded in death by his first wife, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services for Philip Peterson were held Sunday, December 5, 1993 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with the Reverend James Mohr officiating. Interment followed in Bethel Reeds Corners Cemetery in the Town of Metomen. A memorial has been established.
