Phyllis Brown

Phyllis Katherine Brown, age 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2003 at her home, with her family at her side.

Phyllis was born January, 10, 1933 in the Town of Metomen, a daughter of Leonard and Eva (Radke) Siebenhaar. She graduated from Ripon High School and on September 12, 1953, married Ronnie Brown. Phyllis and Ronnie owned and operated Brown Hardware in the village of Brandon for many years. She later was employed at K-Mart in Ripon. Phyllis was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon.

Survivors include children; Beverly (Steven) Hanefeld of Brandon, Linda Remick of Alexandria, VA., Jeffrey (Patty) Brown of Ripon, Kathryn (Jim) Vaade of Brandon, and Kimberly (Mario) Wierzchowski of West Bend. Four grandsons; Michael Schmuhl of South Milwaukee, Jake Brown and Evan Brown of Ripon, and Alexander Remick of Alexandria, VA. Three sisters; Ferne Spielvogel of Fairwater, Shirley (Ken) Margers of Brandon, and Arlene (David) Cawthorne of Waterloo, WI. One brother; Dean (Marilyn) Siebenhaar of Oshkosh. Two brother-in-laws; Curtis (Nancy) Brown and Gary (Marsha) Brown and one sister-in-law; Vivian Bertram. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, on November 10, 1979, her parents, three brother-in-laws; Ronnie Ostram, Gene Bertram, and George Spielvogel and one nephew; Todd Ostram.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 11, 2003, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Brandon with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Kevin Scheuller will officiate. Interment will be at Brandon Cemetery, Village of Brandon. A memorial has been established.
