Phyllis M. Lay, 69, resident of the Fond du Lac County Health Care Center, passed away Saturday, May 20, 1995 in Fond du Lac.
She was born July 10, 1925, in Taft, California, the daughter of Phillip Lynds and Margaret Maxwell Lay. After attending Ripon High School, Phyllis graduated from Ripon College in 1947. Phyllis was a sales person at Jessica’s Boutique in Ripon and was a member of the First Congregational Church of Ripon. She lived in the Ripon area until moving to ~the Fond du Lac County Health Care Center several years ago.
Phyllis is survived by 1 sister: Lucia (Ralph) Maxson of Bowling Green, KY; 2 nieces and 2 nephews; 1 great-nephew and 1 cousin: David Shepard and his family. She is also survived by her guardian Jan Livingood and her husband, Paul of Ripon.
Funeral services for the late Phyllis M. Lay will be held at 7:30 P.M. Monday, May 22, 1995 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. The Reverend John N. Bixby, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow on Tuesday in Liberty Prairie Cemetery in Pickett.
Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.
