Mrs. Rachel C. Campbell, age 92, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 1990, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 15, 1898, in Greenleaf, a daughter of Bernard and Catherine (Scanlon) Campbell. On August 25, 1922, she married Alban Campbell. He preceded her in death on October 26, 1986. Mrs. Campbell was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ripon and had worked as a cook for the Republican House in Ripon for many years.
Survivors include four sons, John Jr. of Ripon, Dr. Gerald of Santa Cruz, CA, William of Oshkosh and Michael of Green Bay; six daughters, Mary Lois Kuehn and Pat Seidl, both of Ripon, Connie Marabella of Honalulu, Rachel Espinosa of Sunny Hills, FL, Bernadette Weiske and Catherine Treptow of Ripon; 25 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Catherine Lampe, Ripon, Joanne Skitmore of Windsor, ONT, Sarah Low of St. Paul, MN and Agnes Hayes of Racine. Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call Tuesday, May 22, 1990 from 5 until 8:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 1990 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon with the Reverend John A. Schmitz officiating and interment will follow in St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established in her name.
