Rachel Yarbrough, age 84, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on November 28, 1927, in Zion, IL, the daughter of Francis and Lydia (Dreyer) Cunningham. Rachel graduated from high school in Waukegan, IL and in 1948; she married W. Herman Yarbrough in Waukegan, IL. Rachel was a homemaker, funeral home assistant from 1950 – 1970 and a caregiver for elderly clients for many years.
Survivors include five daughters, Dianne (James) Cottrill of Ormond Beach, FL, Darlene George of Sioux Falls, SD, Lorena Gammon of Brandon, WI, Lorraine Yarbrough of Oshkosh, WI and Vonda Jean (Jon) Kelekovich of Ripon, WI; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and one sister-in-law, Norma Cunningham of Lincoln, NE. Rachel was preceded in death by her former husband, W. Herman Yarbrough, son-in-law, Dr. Robert George and four brothers and four sisters.
Graveside service for Rachel Yarbrough will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012, at 11:00 am at Northshore Garden of Memories, 1801 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, IL 60064. Memorials may be directed to Agnesian Hospice Hope Foundation, 430 E. Division St. Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
