Ralph Frederick Beach, age 86, passed away at 10:20 pm Saturday, September 28, 1996, at the Juliette Manor Nursing Home in Berlin, Wisconsin.
He was born July 21, 1910, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Albert and Florence (Kraft) Beach. He was reared in Fort Erie, Ontario. He attended Queens College in Kingston, Ontario. He married Margaret Ellen Broadley on September 23, 1944, in Fort Erie, Ontario. His past employment included such jobs as accountant, craft shop and snack operator, city Clerk/treasurer, and postal clerk. He served for a short time in the Army during WWII. Ralph had been involved in Boy Scouts on the local and district level for 35 years and had received both the Order of the Arrow Award and the Silver Beaver Award. He had been in the American Legion for 40 years. He had been a long time member of the Federated Church of Green Lake, serving on just about every board and position. In 1994, he received the honor of serving as Grande Marshall of the fourth of July parade in Green Lake.
He is survived by two children, James (Nancy) Beach, Green Lake; Mary (Eugene) Barrows, Green Bay; two brothers, Earl (Lila) Beach, Kitchener, Ontario; Marvin (Mary) Beach, Perth, Ontario; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; wife; and brother, Floyd.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 13, at 2 pm at the Federated Church of Green Lake with Reverend Don Brown officiating. A memorial fund has been established in his name at the church.
