Ralph Blake

Ralph M. Blake, age 74, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, September 1, 1986, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.

Ralph was born April 20, 1912, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Charles and Margaret (Friedel) Blake. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII from 1939 to 1944. On February 1, 1942, Ralph married Olive Badtke. He was owner and operator of the Bread Basket from 1947 until retirement in 1972. Ralph was a charter member of VFW, American Legion and the Cream of the Crop Club.

Survivors include his wife, Olive; one daughter, Mary (Ron) Holschbach of Manitowoc; one grandson, one step-grandson, one sister, Marie (Florian) Wiercinski of Ripon and nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ralph will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 1986, from 6 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with a VFW Service at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Service for Ralph will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 1986, at 1:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend John A. Schmitz officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in Memphis, TN.
