Ralph Liptow, Sr.

Ralph Robert Liptow, Sr., age 85, of Ripon, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, with his family at his side.
Ralph was born on September 9, 1922, in Ripon, the son of Elmer and Ida (Quast) Liptow. He attended Ripon High School, and on January 15, 1943, Ralph married Arlene Genevieve Wiese in Fond du Lac. He worked as a shipping clerk for Speed Queen. In his spare time, Ralph enjoyed fishing, gardening, and simply working in his garage.
Survivors include 3 sons, Ronald (Sara) Liptow of Rosendale, Gary (Mary) Liptow of Berlin, and Terry (Tammy) Liptow of Ripon; 2 daughters, Sandra (Jim) Badtke of Ripon, and Julie (Steve) Meilahn of Ripon; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Ann Dahlke of Ripon; and sister, Arlene Heffernan of IL. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Arlene, on August 10, 1993; his son, Ralph Liptow, Jr.; granddaughter, Brenda Liptow; and 3 brothers.
Private graveside service for Ralph R. Liptow, Sr. will be held at Nepeuskun Cemetery in the Town of Nepeuskun. A private inurnment will follow. Memorials in Ralph’s name can be made to Affinity Hospice, 816 W. Winneconne Ave. Neenah, WI 54956.
