Ralph Luedke

Ralph C. Luedke, age 83, of Ripon, WI, died Wednesday, March 12, 1997, at Ripon Medical Center.

He was born November 7, 1913, in Ripon, a son to the late Reinhold and Elsa (Beirman) Luedke. He was a graduate of Ripon High School. Ralph worked as a machinist at Speed Queen in Ripon for 45 years, as well as owning and operating Luedke Greenhouse & Floral for 20 years. In June of 1941, he married the former Dorothea Lannin. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon and had lived in Ripon all of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothea of Ripon; four sons, Robert (Loretta) Luedke of Fairwater, Kenneth Luedke of De Pere, John Luedke of Wautoma and Jim Luedke of Ripon; thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Oscar Luedke and Raymond (Mildred) Luedke, both of Ripon; and two sisters, Elda Page and Florence Barclay, both of Ripon. He was preceded in death by one brother, Evereth Luedke and one sister, Dorothy Tetzlaff.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30 pm Saturday, March 15, 1997, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon with Father John A. Schmitz officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, from 5 until 7 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Saturday from 11:30 am until the time of the Mass at the church. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
