Raymond F. Essenberg, age 83, passed on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Raymond was born to Remert and Emily (Sohler) Essenberg on August 5, 1926, in Cudahy, WI. He completed his schooling at Messmer, Boys-Tech. High Schools in Milwaukee. Joann M. Reifsnyder became Raymond's wife on March 11, 1950, at St. John deNepomuc Church. He worked as a supervisor of 40 years for the City of Milwaukee. Raymond was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Eagles Club, and the Wisconsin Umpires Association.
Survivors include his wife Joann M. of Green Lake; Mary Jo (Duane) Thompson of Richfield, WI.; James R. Essenberg of Portland OR,; niece Suzann Maas of Madison, WI.; Sister-in-law Virginia (Ralph decd.) Ruck of Wawatosa, WI.; niece Linda (John) Rick of Milwaukee, WI., and many other relatives and good friends. Raymond was preceded in death by his father Remert, mother Emily, and his sister Shirley Maas.
Visitation will be held for Raymond Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Federated Church of Green Lake.
Funeral service will be held for Raymond Tuesday August 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Federated Church of Green Lake with Reverend Karen Gygax-Rodriguez officiating. Internment will follow at the Dartford Cemetery in the City of Green Lake. A memorial has been established.
