Raymond “Ray” Herman Weishaar, age 81, of Ripon, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Prairie Place with his loving family by his side.
Ray was born on January 16, 1942, son of Forest “Bud” and Henrietta “Pete” (Gehrke) Weishaar. He graduated from Ripon High School and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army. On May 8, 1965 he married Kay Hitzemann, who passed away in 2009. Ray began working at Speed Queen on the production line and eventually earned a position in international service where he traveled the world for the company. He then transitioned to plant manager at Precision Metalsmiths Inc. in Markesan, WI.
Ray was an avid fisherman and loved spending time on the water with his family and friends. He was an amazing husband, father, and “bumpa” to his grandchildren. Always quick with a smile, humble, and welcoming, Ray was ready with two thumbs up for any adventure. To say that Ray made something of his life would be a great understatement. He still inspires us all today.
Ray is survived by his children, Jeff (Melissa) Weishaar; grandchildren, Aaron and Ryan; his daughter Wendy (Reiter), her husband Dan, and grandchildren, Olivia and Anna; Heather (Sullivan), her husband Matthew, and grandchildren, Matik and Caitlin; Kera Weishaar and Tyler Keenlance, and children Maris, Kaden, and Adler. Ray is also survived by his brother Wayne Weishaar, his wife Sue, their children Clint and Megan, and his sister Beverly Snyder and her daughter Renae Seth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Henrietta Weishaar.
