Regina Agnes Thiel, age 82, of Ripon, WI, died Monday, December16, 1996, at her home.
She was born May 13, 1914 in Ripon, a daughter to John J. and JoAnn (Woodrick) Novitske. She graduated from Ripon High School. On June 19, 1940, she married Otto Thiel. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic church and the Altar Society, and did volunteer work at St. Patrick School and Library and Ripon Hospital. She lived in Ripon all of her life. Regina lived for her husband, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, David (Gail) Thiel of Green Bay; three daughters, Ann (David) Coleman of Norman, OK, Christine Thiel of Green Bay and Mary Black of Ripon; special son-in-law, Joseph Mastalir of Green Bay; grandchildren, Jennifer and Rachel Thiel of Green Bay, John J. and Matthew Coleman of Norman, OK, and Regina Black of Ripon; and step-grandchildren, Anthony Mastalir of Santa Clara, CA and Michael and Sherri Mastalir of Green Bay. Further survivors include her brothers, Ralph (Janet) Novitske of Ripon; sister-in-law, Mildred (Herb) Thiem of Ripon; and brothers-in-law, Harry Thiel of Ripon, Dale (Avis) Rammel of Green Lake and Bill (Pat) Baier of Wautoma. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto on March 8, 1986, and sisters, Alice LaFoutaine, Jeanette Rammel and Barbara Baier.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, December 19, 1996, at 11 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon with Father John A. Schmitz officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 until 7:30 pm, followed by a Rosary at 7:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Memorials will be given to St. Patrick Catholic Church in her name.
